Savannah is a preemie baby, reborn from a Berjusa sleeping baby. Although this sculpt is listed as rare or hard to find all the time, they are not, and I hate listing her as such (so I won't.) I started out knowing that this was going to be a boy, but in the end, Savannah told me differently. She is so delicate and feminine that she HAD to be a girl. Please browse through Savannah's pictures (sorry, lots of pictures, I love photographing these babies!!!) and I will describe her "rebirth" to you. Baby Savannah started life as all babies here at the Azygous Nursery. I removed all of her original color and started with the newly blank canvas. She took a nice warm bubble bath to bring out those pretty baby colors. I tend to like naming my babies after somebody special. Savannah got her middle name from a new friend of mine, who I expect you will be seeing here on ebay shortly. A special person with a passion!
Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. If baby Savannah is tugging on your heartstrings, please bid now, as there will not be another just like her. I am not doing special order babies at this time, so if you would like an Azygous Kid, please bid on one here on ebay.
I hand painted Savannah inside and out. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is not a toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.
I love how real this baby looks! I painted wispy eyebrows on baby Savannah. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed, and hand rooted tiny, baby lashes to match her beautiful dark hair. Her little fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white (so natural looking) and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Savannah's nose very carefully, so she could breathe.
Those of you have have seen my babies before, know that I love to root baby hair. It's just my most favorite part of reborning babies. I have microrooted Savannah's hair with the tiniest needle I had, to make it look like it was truly growing from her head. I also rooted it very, very sparsely like a newborn baby's hair, so you can see her scalp right through her hair. Savannah has beautiful dark brown wavy mohair from Pearl Moon. You can dampen Savannah's hair and smooth straight, or curl it around your finger for baby curls. It is sealed from within.
Savannah has a new cloth body. Her full limbs have been weighted with squishy baby fat pellets and soft polyfil . Her body has been weighted with baby fat pellets as well, and made soft with premium polyfil. I don't go for a lot of weight, I want these babies to FEEL good when you hold them, and feel a more "natural" weight, rather than heavy, dead weight. Savannah wears preemie size baby clothing.
You will have to support Savannah's little head when you hold her, just like a real baby.
Savannah has a very strong rare earth magnet in her head and on her pacifier. These should not be used around pacemakers or computers. Please let me know if you need this removed.
Baby Savannah also has very faint veining in her feet, hands, and temples, eyelids, and forehead, the places a real baby would have it.

Savannah's Homecoming:
I will send little Savannah home to you in her beautiful Precious Moments outfit. This outfit is a onesie with a darling little dress/jumper to go over it. She will also bring her Little Me sleeper, her lacy white headband, pink knit booties, her pacifier and her favorite Baby Gund lamb. Of course, she will also bring along her boutique name bracelet and a blanket (not pictured).

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
