FOREVER BABIES AT REASONABLE PRICES!

Every once in awhile, when one of these babies comes to life, I can't imagine letting it leave my house. Creating these babies is such a wonderful gift, as any of the reborners know, and sometimes they just come to life without us having any real plans for what they will look like, or who they will be. Rachel is one of those. I started with a plain looking 17 inch La Newborn Moments doll, and really didn't think it would turn out to be anything special. However, Rachel IS something special. She is a little munchkin, a little imp, looking for someone to wrap around her finger. Somebody to fall in love with her as I have. I adore Rachel, and hope that a new mommy will feel the same about her.

Rachel was reborn from a LaNewborn Moments AA baby doll, little smiley face that seems hard to find. Nothing was skimped on, in the creating of baby Rachel. She has beautiful hand applied eyelashes, soft micro-rooted, USA grown mohair, and wonderful little baby features. Browse through Rachel's pictures and I will describe her"rebirth" to you. Rachel Michelle started by having all her factory paint removed. She took a nice, warm bath to bring out his "babyish" color. Rachel has a beautiful complexion.

Rachel was hand painted, inside and out, using acrylic and oil based paints. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is no longer a toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.

Rachel has beautiful handpainted wispy eyebrows, natural colored lips that have been sealed and hand-applied black baby lashes. Her little fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white (so natural looking), and sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. Rachel's nose has been opened so she can breathe.

Her hair is wonderful. Bought from ebay's own Organdyrose, it is home grown in Oregon, and hand dyed by Linda herself. (Thank you Linda!!!) Rachel's hair is black and the hair is wavy and will curl up nicely if you spritz it with water. Her hair has been rooted, sparsely like a baby, with a tiny needle.

Her hair can be brushed and styled gently, as it is sealed on the inside.

Rachel has a very unique body. It is made from a soft, stretchy doe suede, giving her more ability to pose and mold into real baby positions. Rachel's limbs have been filled with sterile sand, and sealed to prevent leakage. Her body has been stuffed and weighted with premium polyester stuffing and squishy baby fat pellets. She flops and feels like a real baby when you hold her in your arms. She only weighs 4 pounds, but feels great in your arms. Her body fits her so perfectly! Rachel also has full arms and legs, which makes her so much fun to dress.

Rachel can wear preemie clothing and some 0-3 month baby clothing. It is so fun to hold and dress this baby. You will have to support her head when you hold her, just like a real baby. You won't want to put her down.

Rachel has a magnetic, Pooh Bear pacifier. Please remember that these magnets should not be used around computers or pacemakers.

Rachel's Homecoming:

Rachel will come home to you with her darling Allison Ann yellow, 2 piece outfit with lace collar, yellow headband, and yellow booties to match. She will also bring her cute little, handmade, gown in pink stripes with matching bonnet. She loves her stuffed bumble bee, and will also have her pacifier in case she frets.

Her homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $20.00

She is such a happy baby girl.

This baby was so fun to photograph. She is incredibly poseable. Every now and then when reborning babies, one comes along that I just adore, and think I can never let go of. Rachel is one of these babies. Check out her friend, Daniel (born on the same day) as he is another. This was a great reborning day for me. These kids just came to life for me.

Rachel was not made from a new toy, but a used child's playtoy. She may have marks on her that show the fact that she was not a new baby. These will not detract from her beauty. Instead of being a plaything discarded with time, Rachel has now become a unique, one of a kind collectable to be treasured forever. She (as all my babies are) will be signed and numbered by me on her bottom.

Rachel Michelle was named for 2 wonderful girls on this earth. Both very special in their own way, and both true gifts from God!

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
