Baby Nickolas started life as a normal, preemie sized Taylor face Berenguer kid. I love making this particular sculpt so much, and it is getting a bit difficult to find. I hope you enjoy viewing Nick as much as I enjoyed making him. Please browse through Nick's pictures and I will describe his"rebirth" to you. Nick is a preemie. He is all ready for his first Christmas with his soft, green sleeper.

Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. I am not doing special order babies at this time, so if you would like an Azygous Kid, please bid on one here on ebay.

Nick has beautiful splotchy skin as a newborn, preemie baby might have. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, he is not a play toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.

I painted wispy, barely there eyebrows on Nick. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed, and hand rooted eyelashes to match his hair. His fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Nick's nose very carefully, so he could breathe.

Nick has microrooted Sunlit brown mohair. It is rooted with only one or two hairs per hole. I rooted his hair sparsely as a new baby would have. This is an awesome color of mohair. I have it dampened in the above picture so it appears a bit darker there.

Nick is so cuddly and nice to hold. He has a new, jointed body made just his size. He has partial limbs which make him nicely poseable and oh so sweet to curl into your arms. He is weighted with tiny glass pellets in his vinyl limbs, and poly pellets in his body, along with premium polyester stuffing for cuddliness. I don't go for a lot of weight, I want these babies to FEEL good when you hold them, and feel a more "natural" weight, rather than heavy, dead weight. Nick is a preemie and fits perfectly into those preemie sized baby clothing.

You will have to support his head when you hold him, just like a real newborn baby.

Nick has a magnetic pacifier. If you need the magnet removed, please let me know. They should not be used around computer equipment or pacemakers.

He slept through the entire photo session. What a good baby Nick is.

Nickolas' Homecoming:

Nick will arrive home to you in his beautiful Carter's Child of Mine velour sleeper with the Christmas bear on front. He will also bring along his blue fuzzy, hooded snowsuit/sleeper by Baby Gro. He wouldn't go anywhere without his pacifier little stuffed Christmas bear that sings Deck the Halls. I will also include his favorite blanket and an extra diaper for him.

His homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $20.00.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
