Katryn Allison was reborn from a new Berenguer, sleeping Rosebud sculpt doll. I think this is such a delicate baby girl to reborn. Please browse through Katryn' s pictures and I will describe her"rebirth" to you. Enjoy and as always, thanks for visiting the Azygous Kids Nursery.
Katryn started life as most babies here at the Azygous Nursery. I removed all of her original color and started with the newly blank canvas. She took a nice warm bubble bath to bring out those pretty baby colors.
Katryn is such a sleepy littl girl. Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. If baby Katryn has crawled into your heart, please bid now, as there will not be another just like her.
I hand painted Katryn inside and out. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is no longer a toy, but instead, is a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.
What a darling, dainty little girl! I painted wispy eyebrows on baby Katryn. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed and hand applied little, baby lashes. Her little fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white (so natural looking), the nail beds have been painted a very slight pink, and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Katryn's nose so she could breathe.
I rooted Katryn's hair with beautiful, brown mohair. Her hair is microrooted and truly looks as though it is growing from her scalp. I rooted her hair sparsely to look as though she is a newborn baby. You can leave it fluffy and natural, dampen it with water and smooth it straight, or use a little water or gel to make the pretty baby curls.
Katryn Allison has a nice, new, jointed body. Her 1/4 legs/arms make her so much fun to pose. Katryn wears 0-3 month sized baby clothing. Her limbs have been filled with sterile sand, squishy baby fat pellets, and premium polyfil stuffing for weight and softness. Her body has been restuffed and weighted with premium polyester stuffing and little squishy baby fat pellets as well. She is so fun to dress.
You will have to support Katryn's little head when you hold her, just like a real baby.
Baby Kat has a very strong magnet in her head and her pacifier. These rare-earth magnets should not be used around computer equipment or pace-makers. Please let me know if you need this magnet removed.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
