Baby Holly started life as a discontinued Carry Me baby from Berenguer. I love making this particular sculpt so much, and it is getting a bit difficult to find. I hope you enjoy viewing Holly as much as I enjoyed making her. Please browse through Holly's pictures and I will describe her"rebirth" to you. Holly is a preemie. She is all ready for his first Christmas in her fancy velvet and lace dress.

Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. I am not doing special order babies until after Christmas, so if you would like an Azygous Kid, please bid on one here on ebay.

Holly has beautiful splotchy skin as a newborn, preemie baby might have. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is not a play toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.

I painted wispy, barely there eyebrows on Holly. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed, and hand rooted eyelashes to match her hair. Her fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Holly's nose very carefully, so she could breathe.

Holly has microrooted bright red mohair. It is rooted with only one or two hairs per hole. I rooted her hair sparsely as a new baby would have. You can spritz it with a little water or detangler, and smooth it straight, or curl up between your fingers.

Holly is so very poseable and nice to hold. She has a new cloth IHAD body with a little tushy, that makes her a little longer than originally. She has full vinyl limbs which make her really fun to dress, as she can wear items that show those cute little baby knees. Her limbs are weighted with tiny glass pellets and she has poly pellets in her body, along with premium polyester stuffing for cuddliness. I don't go for a lot of weight, I want these babies to FEEL good when you hold them, and feel a more "natural" weight, rather than heavy, dead weight. Holly is a preemie and must wear preemie sized baby clothing.

You will have to support her head when you hold her, just like a real newborn baby.

Holly does have a magnetic pacifier but the one pictured is not it. I couldn't find hers at the time, so she borrowed brother Nick's paci. She will come with her own (not this one). If you need the magnet removed, please let me know. They should not be used around computer equipment or pacemakers.

She slept through the entire photo session. What a good babyHolly is.

Holly will arrive home to you in her beautiful Carriage House Christmas dress in red velvet and lots of lace (it is a tad big for her, but looks oh, so, cute!!!) She will bring her little white socks tiny shoes that FIT her. Holly will also bring along her light green preemie sleeper with Daddy's Little Girl on the front, and her yellow headband. She loves her little Christmas bear and of course, her pacifier. I will also include her favorite blanket and an extra diaper for her as well.

Her homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $20.00.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
