New baby in the nursery for Fall! Introducing:
Evelyn Rose (Evie)
DOB 10/2/05 5 pounds 8 ounces 24 inches long FOREVER BABIES AT REASONABLE PRICES!
Baby Evelyn (we call her Evie) began life as a popular Elli Knoops Luca baby. This is my 2nd Luca baby to make and I just love working on this doll, since it comes as a blank canvas, and everything is artistically done, rather than time spent removing! Evie has 3/4 limbs that match her wonderfully, instead of the original 1/4 limbs. Please browse through Evie's pictures and I will describe her"rebirth" to you. Evie is a big girl. She is heavy, and can sit up on her own already.
Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. I am not doing special order babies at this time, so if you would like an Azygous Kid, please bid on one here on ebay.
I hand painted Evie to create real looking baby skin. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is not a play toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time. We had a wonderful photo session, but Evie wasn't always cooperative!!!!
Sit back up there Evie!!!! I painted baby eyebrows on Evie. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed, and hand applied wispy top and bottom eyelashes to frame those beautiful brown Real eyes. Her fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Evie's nose very carefully, so she could breathe.
Sorry, Evie had plans other than having her picture made. She has beautiful handrooted, brown hair. I loved working with this hair. I rooted it with a 38 gauge needle. Evie is a toddler, so has a bit more hair than a young baby would have. I love rooting hair, probably my favorite part of reborning these kids. Evie has a mixture of dark brown and golden brown hair to create a look more like a young child.
Now Evie, SIT BACK DOWN!!!! Evi's hair has been secured on the inside so it can be carefully styled. You can dampen and smooth straight with your fingers, or use a little gel and make little, baby curls. It can be unruly if not styled.
Almost bedtime for Evie. I love those baby knees and it is so fun to dress babies with 3/4 limbs. Evie has no sand in her. Her limbs were weighted with poly pellets and polester stuffing. Her cloth body has been weighted with a little baby fat pellets, poly pellets, and stuffed with soft, premium polyfil stuffing for cuddliness. I don't go for a lot of weight, I want these babies to FEEL good when you hold them, and feel a more "natural" weight, rather than heavy, dead weight. Evie is pretty heavy though, since she is a toddler. She wears clothing in sizes 3-6 months, and some 6-9 month.
Evie is such a show off for the camera. You do not have to support Evie's head since she can hold up her own head! She is soooo poseable and has such character.
I opted not to give Evie a magnet for a pacifier. She does have a "modified" pacifier if you want, but those little lips are way too cute to cover with a pacifier!!!
Those eyes are just SOOO real looking .

Evie's Homecoming:
Evie will arrive home to you with her beautiful pink, Baby Sonoma sleep gown and her fuzzy bear slippers. She will also bring along her satiny pale yellow 2 piece outfit by Perfectly Dressed from the Philippines and darling little pink Kid's Connection sneakers. Don't forget her beautiful denim dress by Baby Crew with the button off Halloween collar. This dress can be worn year around by just unbuttoning this beautiful decorated collar. The dress has matching panties, and she will bring her orange Old Navy socks to match for Halloween. Of course, she will bring along her favorite cuddly Dakin Bear Blanket toy. She will also bring along a fresh diaper and her favorite blanket (not shown.)
Her homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $20.00.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
