Darian is one of my "budget babies". I like making babies that don't cost a lot, so that anybody can adopt a wonderful, hand-made reborn baby. Darian began his life as a Pat Secrist baby called Lollipop. He came in the form of a kit, and was so fun to bring to life, since I got to start with a totally blank canvas. Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. I do special order babies, but already have several I am working on, so if you'd like an Azygous Kid right now, please bid on one here on ebay.
Darian is so cuddly and fun to pose. Of course, he is not meant to be a play toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.
Isn't she sweet? Darian has painted wispy eyebrows and beautiful dark brown rooted mohair from Heavenly Honey Nursery. Darian also has brown upper eyelashes to frame those gorgeous new bright blue eyes he has. He has soft, wispy hand painted eyebrows. I have given him natural colored lips that have been sealed. His fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened little Darian's nose very carefully, so he could breathe.
Darian has 1/4 vinyl arms and legs and a cute little jointed cloth body. His limbs are weighted with sterilized sand and made soft and cuddly with premium poly stuffing. His body is weighted with poly pellets and has wonderful poly stuffing for cuddliness. You have to support Darian's head when you hold him, he is a preemie baby and cannot hold it well himself.
Darian's hair can be spritzed with no tangle spray or water and wrapped around your fingers for little curls or scrunched for that messed up look. It is sealed from within so can be carefully styled.
What a good baby he is .
If he gets a little fussy, he quiets quickly if you give him his pacifier. He has a magnetic pacifier with a very strong magnet. Please let me know if you need this removed. Should not be used around computer equipment, or pace-makers.

Darian's Homecoming:
Darian will arrive home to you in his darling blue gown and little rattle socks. He will bring his cute little Winnie the Pooh sleeper/play outfit, and a little blue hat. He loves his little rattle bear, and of course, I wouldn't send him without his pacifier and an extra diaper just in case. He also brings along his favorite blanket. (not pictured.)
Furry white blanket and hospital blanket/cap not included in auction. Darian's homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $18.00.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems is just a gift from God for me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
