Baby Corbin began life as two different Lee Middleton babies. His face is the 2005 Club Doll Playing Mommy (dark) by Reva Schick (Peaches sculpt, released Jan 2005), and his body is from a LM infant. This is the first baby of this face sculpt I have done, and I just love him. Please browse through Corbin's pictures and I will describe his"rebirth" to you. Corbin is such an innocent fellow.
Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. I am not doing special order babies at this time, so if you would like an Azygous Kid, please bid on one here on ebay.
I hand painted Corbin to create real looking baby skin. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, he is not a play toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.
I painted baby eyebrows on baby Corbin. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed, and hand applied to and bottom eyelashes for Corbin, to frame those beautiful brown, soulful eyes. His fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Corbin's nose very carefully, so he could breathe.
Corbin has beautiful handrooted, black mohair from OrgandyRose. This is beautiful hair. I love this hair. Home grown in the USA, hand dyed by Linda herself. I rooted it with the smallest needle I have, VERY sparsely so it looks much like a young baby's hair. I love rooting hair, probably my favorite part of reborning these kids. Corbin is a Lee Middleton baby and they are made with a hole in their heads. I filled in this hole, and rooted over it, but it is still visible, if you look for it. (excuse the shine in this pic, I wet his hair a little!)
Corbin's hair has been secured on the inside so it can be carefully styled. You can dampen and smooth straight with your fingers, or use a little gel and make little, baby curls.
Corbin has wonderful 1/4 arms and legs. His limbs were weighted with sterile sand, and the cloth parts stuffed using poly fiber filling, and poly pellets for weight. His jointed, cloth body has been weighted with a tiny poly pellets and stuffed with soft, premium polyfil stuffing and memory foam for cuddliness. I don't go for a lot of weight, I want these babies to FEEL good when you hold them, and feel a more "natural" weight, rather than heavy, dead weight. Corbin easily wears 0-3 month baby clothing.
You will have to support his head when you hold him, just like a real baby. He is soooo poseable.
Corbin has a very strong rare earth magnet in his head and on his pacifier. These should not be used around pacemakers or computers. Please let me know if you need this removed.
Corbin is so alert. Such a good baby boy.

Corbin's Homecoming:
Riley will arrive home to you in his Carter's striped sleeper in green and blue. He will also bring along his baby blue, velour, Koala Baby outfit, with the teddy bears imprinted on front. Of course, he wouldn't go anywhere without his stuffed, blue, angel bear. He will also bring along a fresh diaper, a pacifier and his favorite blanket (not shown.)
His homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $20.00.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
