Baby Cambria (we call her Cammi) began life as a darling, tiny Zapf sleeping baby. This sculpt is so fun to work with, since it ends up looking like a real preemie baby. Cammi is a just a tiny girl.

Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. I am not doing special order babies at this time, so if you would like an Azygous Kid, please bid on one here on ebay.

I hand painted Cammi to create real looking baby skin. I wanted her to have the splotchy, uneven skin of a preemie. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is not a play toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.

I painted baby eyebrows on Cammi. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed, and hand rooted eyelashes to match her light blonde hair. Her fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Cammi's nose very carefully, so she could breathe.

She has beautiful handrooted, blonde hair. I loved working with this hair. I rooted it very sparsely as a new baby would have. It was rooted with a teeny, tiny little needle and truly looks as though it is growing from her scalp. I love rooting hair, probably my favorite part of reborning these kids.

Cammi's hair has been secured on the inside so it can be carefully styled. You can dampen and smooth straight with your fingers, or use a little gel and make little, baby curls.

If you look closely, you will see faint veining in her temples and forehead. I love those baby knees and it is so fun to dress babies with 3/4 limbs. Cammie has sand in her limbs for weight. Cammi has a specially made body by Elli at Spearson doll bodies. This is an awesome body, jointed and specially made for her 3/4 limbs and size. Her cloth body has been weighted with poly pellets, and stuffed with soft, premium polyfil stuffing for cuddliness. I don't go for a lot of weight, I want these babies to FEEL good when you hold them, and feel a more "natural" weight, rather than heavy, dead weight. Cammi is very cuddly and poseable. She wears preemie clothing, or could wear doll clothing.

You must support baby Cammi's head when you hold her, just like a real baby. She is soooo poseable.

Cammie has a pacifier, specially made for her. It has a magnet, so if you need the magnet removed, please let me know. They should not be used around computer equipment or pacemakers.

Her little hair barrett makes her look so feminine!

Cammi will arrive home to you with her darling yellow baby t-shirt, pink and white booties, and hospital blanket with hospital hat. She will also bring along her cute little 1 piece flowered outfit by Little Me. Of course, she will bring along her favorite cuddly Piglet and a fresh diaper.

Her homecoming will be via Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation and cost $15.00.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
