Elizabeth Ann was reborn from a vintage Lee Middleton sculpt called Little Blessings Asleep. I love the daintiness of this sculpt. Please browse through Beth's pictures and I will describe her "rebirth" to you. Enjoy and as always, thanks for visiting the Azygous Kids Nursery.
Baby Beth started life as most babies here at the Azygous Nursery. I removed all of her original color and original wig, and started with the newly blank canvas. She took a nice warm bubble bath to bring out those pretty baby colors.
Although I sometimes create babies from the same sculpts, they cannot be reproduced and each Azygous Kids baby is unique. If baby Beth has crawled into your heart, please bid now, as there will not be another just like her.
I hand painted Elizabeth everywhere. Each little fold and crease was attended to. Of course, she is not a toy, but a collectible, heirloom, meant to last for a long time.
What a darling, dainty little girl! I painted wispy eyebrows on baby Beth. I also painted natural colored lips that have been sealed and hand rooted little, brown, baby lashes. Her little fingernails and toenails have been tipped in off-white (so natural looking) and all were sealed with a sealer that won't yellow with time. I opened Beth's nose very carefully, so she could breathe.
Elizabeth has a wonderfully soft, Kemper mohair wig in medium brown. It is securly attached to her head and can be brushed or styled as you like. I sculpted it to look like a baby's hair, having never been cut.
Elizabeth Ann has her original body. It has been totally redone and restuffed. Her 1/4 arms and legs make her so much fun to pose. Beth wears 0-3 month sized baby clothing. Her limbs have been filled with sterile sand and premium polester stuffing. Her body has been stuffed and weighted with premium polyester stuffing and poly pellets for weight.
Beth is so cuddly, and you can pose her in all sorts of little baby poses. You will have to support her little head when you hold her, just like a real baby.
Baby Elizabeth has a very strong magnet in her head and her pacifier. These rare-earth magnets should not be used around computer equipment or pace-makers. Please let me know if you need this magnet removed.

I feel so blessed by God to be able to create these incredibly "real" babies. I love creating them and I am anxious to share them with you. I have enjoyed real babies all my life and making these reborns seems to come naturally to me. I have been an artist for many years, painting with water colors and oils, so creating these small children is like painting on a 3D canvas. It is truly a gift from God. And, such fun!!!
